The Grand Prize and the Hidden Treasure are cash prizes! All of the other prizes awarded during the day of the Treasure Quest will be merchandise and/or services provided by participating Rochester businesses.

We've all been through a really rough year. We've quarantined in our homes. We've missed out on so much of what makes life great. Our local businesses have suffered in immeasurable ways. 

That's why this event is being organized by a local resident and business owner to invite you out of your homes to rediscover everything that makes Rochester an amazing place to live, have fun together supporting our local businesses, and win some fantastic prizes!

Here's How To Participate:

  • Sign Up Below!
    Register as a Rochester Treasure Hunter and receive your treasure map of participating businesses. There is no purchase necessary to participate or win any of the prizes. All prize winners will be notified via email so be sure to register with an email address you check often!
  • Join the Facebook Group! 
    Inside the group you'll get exclusive member-only clues about the location of the hidden $250 treasure.
  • Visit Every Participating Business!
    On Treasure Quest day inside each participating business you'll find signs with a QR code unique to that business. Simply point your smartphone camera at the code, enter your email address in the field that pops up to register your visit, and be entered to win! The more businesses you visit, the more times you are entered to win! Many participating businesses will have refreshments, goodies, coupons, and special deals waiting for you when you visit.
  • Look for Hidden Treasure Clues!
    Some participating businesses (not all) will provide you with a clue about a $250 treasure that is hidden somewhere in Rochester. The more clues you collect, the better your chances of beating everyone else to the treasure!
  • Win Stuff!
    At the end of the day one Treasure Hunter will be randomly chosen from QR entries to win the $1,000 grand prize! Many others will be randomly chosen from QR entries to win merchandise and/or services from participating businesses. And hopefully someone will have found the $250 hidden treasure! All winners will be notified via email address provided here.
There is absolutely no purchase necessary to participate as a Treasure Hunter or win any of the prizes. You do not have to be a resident of Rochester to participate or win. In fact, we hope people will come from all over Michigan to participant and discover how amazing our city is!
